“Some photos of my mural @shredmonk on Main St. in downtown Bozeman. I’d maybe describe the space as upscale, industrial vibe. Imagine a classy brewery+coffee & food spot but beneath a fantastical underpass. I viewed the “Shred Monk” concept somewhat along the “Better to be warrior in garden” mentality. The monk-like discipline and training required before a moment of zen carving down a mountain or entering a deep flow state on a long run in the woods. They were great to work with and I’m fairly certain there wasn’t a meeting where at least one of their team was in running shorts and shoes. They truly live the Shred Monk lifestyle. (Continued)
“Plants rule the world and have shaped every inch of what it means to be human. Being a coffee shop/brewery this piece explores our most popular daily stimulant/depressant regiment. Magical coffee and its ability to give us momentary superpowers, and the wonders of fermented plants, offering a temporary shortcut to a wide range of interesting spaces of the mind. The feeling to grab life by the walls(sorry) and seize the day or the release at the end of a long one. Vines trace our veins like the pattens on the palms of our hands follow the lines of leaves. I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced more than a brief flicker of enlightenment here and there but some of those moments I’ve been had a hand from beyond just the animal kingdom.”
