Are you prepared to go the social distance? Presenting the 2020 Internet-ional Fun Run. Run or walk any distance, any place, any time in the month of June.
We really mean any distance, any place, 10 miles in the woods or 1 lap around the home office, both carry the same potential winning power in the wild world of Art Sports.
The Ultimate Internet-ional Champion of Achievement* will be selected at the end of the month and will receive the Special Edition Golden Tee.
*Ultimate Internet-ional Champion of Achievement will be determined by our jury based on multiple factors potentially including creativity, location, determination, flair, and more.
CONGRATS TO the 2020 Internet—ional Fun RUn
We had over 180 runners from 35 different countries submit their runs! Faced with a harrowing task, we narrowed down to the top 40 entries based on location, comments, photos, etc. (Those who entered their distance in bananas were instantly moved into the second round.) Distance and times really had no role in advancement to the second round. Israfil from Bangladesh ran for 46 hours straight, which, if true, is very impressive!
It dawned on us that the selection process beyond this stage would be too difficult, so we used three rounds of random number generation to narrow down to the final 12. Our top twelve finalists went through 5-8 rounds of additional random numbers to find our esteemed recipients of the bronze, silver, and golden tees!
Congratulations to our Bronze Champion of Achievement, Nick from Switzerland!
Our Silver Champion of Achievement is Britta from North Carolina, USA!
We hope you had a great time running this year. Thanks to everyone who joined.
Le Tour de Brew. Easily the most grueling Art Sports event to date, a small group gathered, some joined along the way, many fell, very few made it to the end. An all day journey by bicycle, an unbelievable undertaking, bike to a beer at every brewery in Missoula, Montana in the summer of 2019. Beginning early in the day at Imagine Nation, a few brave athletes embarked on the epic challenge.
From Imagine Nation Brewing Co. then to Western Cider to Draughtworks followed by Kettlehouse Northside, where we saw our first competitors drop out. From Kettlehouse on to Bayern Brewery, where the design to pass on both Big Sky Brewery and Highlander as they had no safe routes was made. From Bayern the longest leg of the race, a 10 mile hilly trek to Lolo Peak Brewery, refueling with bar grub along the way the journey was less one of intoxication but more a challenge of eternal fullness. From Lolo Peak back to Missoula to Great Burn Brewery as the return leg continued to Kettlehouse Mytrle St followed by Conflux and finally to the grand finish at GILD Brewing. A gargantuan task, completed by only three competitors, Tim “the Fox” Fox, Bill the Legend and Art Sports founder Parker. Many cheered and joined along the way, many gave their support, few made it to the end… ART SPORTS!

The self employed employee holiday party returned bigger and more dressed up than ever. With a surprisingly large amount of new attendees many of whom expected it be a network/business event finding themselves quickly confused by the overall nature of the evening.
Big Bros win this round. Fuckers.
Self employed employees always have the weirdest employee parties….
WHOOPS WE LOST THE QUALIFYING CHALLENGES DIDN’T MAKE IT INTO THE SEASON.
In desperately uncomfortable running atire Art Sports collab with artist and plant advocate Jack Metcalf in the annual RUN FOR THE TREES 10k. There were many more much larger trees made for the Wild Walk earlier that week. NOT EASY. ONE TREE TOOK THIRD for their age group iirc.
Art Sports collaboration with Movement Artist Trisha Opstad and PAUSE
On a crowded and bottlenecked First Friday in Downtown Missoula it took competitors over 2 hours to cross the Higgins Bridge (approx 1/4 mile)Truly Grueling

The Slowest Race in the World!
***
So you made that resolution to complete a race this year but nobody told you most races were... so fast. Maybe running is a bit hard on the joints these days or maybe its been awhile since you really took a moment to stop and smell the roses? In this hectic world of ours, its important we all PAUSE now and again and again.

PAUSE (Preventative Action Utilizing Soft Exercise) is proud to be hosting the world's premiere slow race; READY, SET, SLOW!

ART SPORTS XXTREME 2016 DECLARES ZIPLINES NOT AS XXTREME AS BACKFLIPPING OFF THE EDGE OF A TINY PLANE STRAPPED TO ANOTHER MAN!
While numerous skate and shred sessions have been had over the years, ART SPORTS went full ART SPORTS XXTREME with the first and probably only ART SPORTS SKYDIVE!!!!111!!!
A truly spontaneous creation.
So concludes our epic dodgeball season. We made it into the final four and there is little debate that we were unrivaled in style, undefeated in spirit and first place for shortest shorts.
Art School makes the playoffs, who woulda thunk it?
